  Discursive Composition  
     
  When you are writing a discursive composition make sure you find ways to use more complex sentences. Even if you make small mistakes you will still be gien more marks for trying to use difficult grammar.

You are expected to use discursive words and phrases in the composition.

A composition is usually more formal than an article, the emphasis is more on presenting an argument, giving opinions and supporting them clearly than on interesting the reader.

  Points that you should remember  
     
 
  • Try to write more complicated sentences.
  • Use at least one conditional sentence.
  • Check your writing for spelling mistakes.
  • Check your writing for grammar mistakes.
  • Use formal writing.
  • Write at least 4 paragraphs.
  • Make sure your argument is clear.
  • Make sure you give some examples.
  • Make sure you have expressed your opinion.
  • Use discursive words and phrases.
