  Informal Letter  
     
  When you are writing an informal letter (to a friend, a cousin, a penfriend, your uncle ...) remember to use a friendly, chatty and conversational style with your grammar and vocabulary but don't forget it must also be divided into paragraphs.

Remember that you will get credit for using more than one way of saying something, for example if you are making suggestions use different ways of suggesting things although you must make sure you use the correct style  for each suggestion.

  Points that you should remember  
     
 
  • Use informal grammar (you should also use contractions.
  • Use informal vocabulary.
  • Use informal letter expressions.
  • Mention any previous letter received in paragraph 1.
  • Use at least one informal closing expression.
  • Write your first name at the bottom of the letter.
  • Make sure you start and end the letter in an appropriate way.
  • Make sure you make good suggestions.
