  Letter of Application  
     
  When you are writing a letter of application don't say why you need a job, they are only interested in knowing if you will be able to do the job well.

Be imaginative, if the question says "You saw an advertisement in a local newspaper ..." give the newspaper a name, do not write "I say your advertisement in a local newspaper."

As you prepare for the exam, learn set phrases for each kind of composition and try to use them in your writing.

  • Use formal grammar and vocabulary.
  • Include all the information you need to.

  • Ask some relevent questions.
  • Make sure your letter is divided into paragraphs.
  • Write at least 4 paragraphs.
  • Use appropriate set phrases.
  • Check your letter for spelling mistakes.
  • Check your letter for grammar mistakes.
