The River Thames is a
river flowing through southern England and flowing through London
into the sea. It is one of the major waterways in England. The Thames has a length of 346 km. The Thames is navigable from the estuary as far as Lechlade in Gloucestershire. Between the sea and Teddington Lock the river forms part of the Port of London. The river is crossed by many bridges and tunnels. There are also many islands on the river. A major rowing event traditionally takes place in April on the river between Oxford University Boat Club and Cambridge University Boat Club. |
El Rio Tamesis es un rio
que fluye por el sur de Inglaterra, a traves de Londres hasta el
mar. Es uno de los mas importantes rios de Inglaterra. El Tamesis tiene una longitud de 346 km. El Tamesis es navegable desde el estuario hasta Lechlade en Gloucestershire. Entre el mar y Teddington Lock el rio forma parte del Puerto de Londres. Varios puentes y tuneles cruzan el rio. Tambien hay muchas islas en el rio. Una importante competición de remo transcurre en el mes de Abril entre el club de remo de la universidad de Oxford y el club de remo de la universidad de Cambridge. |
